FUNCTION STANDARD DESCRIPTION
Information Management ISO 19650 Series Collaborative production of architectural, engineering, and construction information. Organization and digitization of information about buildings and civil engineering works, including building information modeling (BIM).
National Annex For Example: UK Annex Additional details required to clarify implementation within a specific country.
Structuring and Classifying Information Uniformat II, Uniclass, Omniclass Table 21, Revit Categories, Disciplines, etc. Classification used for categorizing scope of work and model deliverables.
Level of Information Need CEN/EN 17412-1 / ISO 7817 Building Information Modelling - Level of Information Need - Part 1: Concepts and principles - using the Plannerly Scope module.
Accuracy and Tolerance USIBD LOA / BS 5606 When capturing the existing asset information, the geometry being reproduced shall take into account the construction tolerances outlined within the USIBD LOA / BS 5606 as relevant.
Space Numbering ISO 4157-2 Space numbering convention for room names and numbers.
Naming of Containers ISO 19650 - National Annex The agreed convention for the naming of information container identification.
Type and Component Naming ISO 4157-1 The agreed type and component naming convention. All primary designations shall be written in full.
Document Management ISO 7200 All exchanged information containers shall comply with ISO 7200 by including, as a minimum, all of the specified mandatory data fields in title blocks and document headers.
Management of Assets ISO 55000 Series Guidance on the factors to be considered by an organization when managing its assets.
Facilities Maintenance BS 8210 Detailed guidance on facilities maintenance management and code of practice.
Briefing for Design and Construction BS 8536 Recommendations for the briefing for design and construction to ensure that the design takes account of the expected performance of the asset/facility in use over its planned operational life.
